I've got my hands on a getrag 6 speed out of a ST170.
i've never driven the ST so i dont know what its like.
someone told my that i was better off getting a MTX75 gearbox and sticking a limited slip diff into it, Well, beggers cant be chosers so does the getrag need a lsd.
Yes, it does. The 6 spd has a higher 1st gear, so you won't get off the line as well, but during aggressive cornering, especially at low speeds, the inside wheel will break loose without the lsd.
