1).right lads here is an idea?. wat if I took my air con radiater or adapted a swerl pipe or smaller rad, and placed it at one end of my ram air intake. I mean the air con on cold.

2) putting a power cap on the main 16mm positive cable, going into the fuse box off the battery, thus running all the cars applacations off the cap then the battery. stoping the alternator from coming under any load apart from charging the battery. (its dark and cold alot where i live)

any body av any feed back on these ideas

You lose power with the A/C thing- it takes more power than it makes by running the A/C

cheers lads :D. here is another idea. I've put 2 realys single switch double throw both connected in series with a mannual switch (mounted in the cab) connected on the return to the battery. on the first single input pole of 1 relay I've wired the output of the coolant temp sensor to the E.C.U. on 1 output (switch open) Ive connected the other end of the cut data wire to the E.C.U. on the second output switch closed Ive wired up a variable resister set to mimick engine cold (this affects the air fuel mixture (it goes rich, but not anuff to damage the cat). the second relay is hooked up the same way but to the A.T.S which affects the ignition timing telling it to advance slightly. with the ram air it works well but the HC gasses are over 250 so I need a stronger spark. thinking of putting the M.S.D coil and leads on (already got the splitfire leads and plugs in) and the DIS-2 system on wat u think.

Actually, I watched a tuner show where they were tuning a Focus, and the engine ran rich at stock settings. You'll be hurting your performance by putting it in "cold start" mode.

:shock:wat?? I do not belive for 1 min that the focus engine runs rich at stock.

thats the point of these new eco engines with lamba O2 sensors and EGR valves and all the other wonderfull sensors it has fitted is to not run rich and watch fuel consumption. I meen 125hp from a 2.0 16V is pooranuff. I av a 1.8 8V 1989 VW scirocco that puts out 125hp standard and for best AFR the CO is set to 3.2, HC are reading 85ppm and at 3500RPM the HC com as low as 50+ppm it kicks ass. I also av a mitsubishi galant 2.0 16V 4x4 that puts out 160 hp standard this has a cat  with more affective digital sensors. this is my point the ford anolog sensors ruffly guess wats going on u can buy more affective sensors but thy cost. so y not tap into these sensors and play about finding best proformance. of course do not go all the way and put the E>C>U in cold start mode.
