So how many of you have imported or taken over the "pond" an RS. I know there are a couple of Escort and Sierra Cossies around in the states. You also have a company that will build one for you..with whatever engine you want !!!!..not bad !!!
So how many over that side of the "pond" then ???

None that I know of...to federalize it (make it driveable and legal) costs well into the $65-$70K range so that isn't much of an option here when alot of people will get an STi or an Evo for less than that.
Yeah, I dont know of any. I've seen McLaren F1's, but no RS's lol. Ford America is still taking advice from the elderly topdogs, who still claim "the rally thing" is just a European thing.

Ya think if we slipped some geritol in there drink they might hip up?
Not to sure about that. But if he can do a Cosworth engine swap into a US Focus even, that would be fricken awesome. Hmm Allwheel drive Focus Cosworth Powered.
there was atleast one RS here in the states. it was a promotional vehicle ford broght over to let media ppl drool over. there was an article about it in the spring focus fanatic mag. very entertaining read. i loved that article.
but to the best of my knowledge, there is no privatly owned RSs in the US. (but that will change when i win the lotto)
Keep dreaming. I think Ford is still gun shy about turbo 4 bangers after the lack of success of the Mustang SVO.
1984-1986 there was a turbo I-4 2.3l mustang and it didn't sell well. Over those 2 years ford only sold about 9,000. Just for comparison over those years ford sold 400,000 regular mustangs.
