Who here is club racing, or has club raced? Put your resume here.

After 12 years of autocross, I decided to step up to SCCA club racing in 1999. My 1st school was at New Hampshire International Speedway. I was 'signed off' to race after the school which doesn't happen much. My 1st race was at Lime Rock Park in Conn.

I run as many as 4 - 5 events a year (about 30 weekends so far). Most are 2 race weekends. I try to get to a new track each season.
Tracks run: NHIS, Lime Rock, Watkins Glen NY, Road Atlanta, Virginia International Raceway, Mid-Ohio.
Next year, if I get the right vacation time; Beaver Creek in Western PA.

Heck, I can teach you how to make it go sideways, do a full 180 and slam into a birch it you like?  I don't recommend it btw.

Hey Gary, nice resume there!  No drag racing?

never dragged. was dragged (!) along once and was terribly bored. (no i'm not putting it down, just not for me). also never circle track, although i was an announcer for a year at a local 3/8 mile dirt track. just really lucky-get a ton a free track time in exchange for riding with strangers, who occasionally try to kill me. have 3 months off now-next track days are vir full 2/12-13/05 with tarheel.

NICE!! You can answer the hard questions then. LOL.

How is Beaver Run? Do you by chance have any in-car video?

ran there for the 1st time in june. lucked out for the friday race practice-pouring rain, so only 12 of us went out. they made it an open practice and we had 7 hours available to play. i do have vid from the 1 hour enduro on saturday. only  thing is we had an engine problem, so most laps are slow. it would cut out in turn 7 and sometimes i would coast for quite a while before it would catch again. if you want some vid from beaverun, pm me. despite all our problems, we took 2nd in class that day. i'll be back there next year for the east coast focal challenge and the emra races.

That's NOT the way you were supposed to do it!!!

I invited a Club Rally driver to join us. Vittorio has been running an 02 SVTf for the last couple of years. I'm not sure if he signed up yet or not.
