no, not the girl that shows up to all the events in just her bra. I want to buy a cheap beater car that I can gut to hell and modify for auto-X. I was thinking of a conquest TSI or Sirocco. anyone have a suggestion for something I could pick up from the auction?

yeah, thats pretty much the same as the conquest. In fact, I skipped an auction where they had a pretty descent TSI for sale. sucks too, it sold for 500$.

maybe I can pick up another old porsche front engine. those are pretty cheap and handle great. I loved my 944. hmmmm, there is a 944 turbo for sale at NP lexus for 5K................

5K is pretty expensive for "cheap beater"

How much are you looking to spend?  I guess I'm being kinda biased, but you can get a Miata pretty damn cheap and there are a shit ton of turbos to choose from starting at about 1800 all the way up to about 5000

yeah 5k is expensive for a track slut. but I miss my 944 and I always wished for the turbo version.

nah, I need a beater. miata would be cool but there is already a guy here racing in the DSP, and his wife in the novice, with a supercharged Miata. kicks alot of ass.

It'd be cool to have something really different out there. Like my old Delorean. of course I doubt the D-lo would make a good auto-X car. that bitch is strictly for time travel.

Go for a Talon (or the like) then.  Hell, an old SE-R would work well too.  Again it all depends on how much you want to spend.

I've seen a V8 Conquest. Someone shoved a Chevy 350 under the hood and brought it to the North East Divisionals in Harrisburg PA back in the mid 90s. There was something just 'wrong' about it, but we all had a kick watching it.

Just keep looking. The "one" will appear, and the insane project will begin.

Let us knwo what you come up with.

a Ciracco.. would be a good choice. if you can find one that hasn't been too abused. Other wise you are going to put alot of money into it! But as long as you don't live in my Region i can tell you about the biggest Track Slut ever created! The 89 Honda Civic Si in the STS class. You're opponents will hate you We will hate you but you will be smiling all the way home with the bling bling trophy! STS class was created around a lightly modified 89-91 Civic and unfortunately until they outlaw that car or somebody wrecked them all they are going to reak havoc all the way at the National Level! :banned We have a civic in my region and its forced me to have to cheat a bit just to be in the same league!

I am currently the proud owner of an 83 Rabbit GTi that I'm building
strictly for racing. She's got a long way to go, but by 07 she should
be done.
