we are getting closer to you guys soon...enduros at pocono 8/20 and 9/10...then on to slime rock 9/23-24...tt's on friday for practice and enduro on saturday...then on to the glen 3rd weekend in oct for a 3 hour race.
no..emra 3 day weekend....time trials, 2 sprints and a 3 hour enduro with ruppert racing representing the foci community..we cannot run an improved touring svt with scca....dont need em, dont care...the washington region, my home area sanctioning body are a bunch of stuck up, by the book, a-holes...nothin like the n.n.j. region i ran with...screw em..with 19 years as a senior licensensed racer and instructor with emra, they wanted me to run 2 schools when i moved to the area in 1989.....emra's motto..."racing like it is meant to be"..safe, fun, run what ya brung if it is safe...i could not run an svt focus with scca until 2007 by the rules governing i.t.

Isn't the SVTf classified in Showroom Stock? When it gets to IT they are saying it'll go to ITS.
I won't run autocrosses with Sesquehanna Reg after a bad experience at a Div event. So I know that not all SCCA regions are fun like my region.
New England Region has a great group running it. With your experience they might require one school minimum. If someone knows you they might waive the school requirement all together. I'd have to ask on that one.
If I miss a year of track, they could require me to do a school. I need 2 races min to maintain a Regional license and 4 for a National. With a National I can instruct at schools.
EMRA must be the weekend after the SCCA weekend in Oct. A friend of mine has run with EMRA. I'd like to try other clubs, but $$ keeps me in just SCCA for now.
Lime Rock is getting too expensive for all of us "non-pro" racers. The single regional there was around $280. I paid that for a double at NHIS. Most doubles entry fees are between $250 and $300 that I've been to. That much for a single day of racing is too much. What are EMRA entry fees generally?

correct, svt with scca is ss only...but squirt is built to improved touring specs...no problem with emra....and i run in the equivelent of its..5.0 stangs and 2nd gen rx7's are my main competition...emra generally is $160 for tt's, $170 for sprints, enduros run from $175 to $440 depending how many hours they are (1 to 4 hours)...you get a 10% discount for multiple events in one weekend...lime rock and the glen are slightly higher, i think $20 more per category...we have run 4 sprints and 1 enduro so far this year....5 more enduros and a few sprints to go
well think we took 2nd in class at the rock....dont know as post race party was canceled due to serious accident late in the race and emra has not (purposely)posted the results on site...next weekend off to the glen for the 3 hour race...see ya
Congrads on a great race. I decided to put the car away for the year. I would have been at the Glen this weekend for a single regional. Time to start saving $$ for parts-improvements for next season.
