| well looked good at first..poured and we were in our element..qualified 3rd overall, 1.2 seconds back of the car thats second in our class....car ran like a freight train..it was fun passing the nascar trucks for a change (they had no defrosters/wipers) ran 3:02's and the only cars ahead were on hoosier dirt stock rains...amazing tires..they could run the dry line....our competion were having problems..one was behind the wall for 4 or 5 laps and the other hit armco after their driver change..then the fog came in 1:20 into race and we were black flagged in...about half the field had not made their pitstops (mandatory but a moot point here as no one could go 3 hours w/o fuel)..despite several atempts to go out again we said on false grid til 4 p.m. when emra called the race...we were under the impression that we would receive a 3 minute penalty for not pitting under green..okay we were 3:20 in the lead..the foci's first class win and the lead in the season championship...1/2 hour later was told it was now a 6 minute penalty dropping us to 2nd and ruining chances of winning series....now it is again under review..if it goes our way it will be a 100 second penalty giving us back the lead going into the 4 hour at summit..
