2002 Ford fodus dies after hard braking to a stop.  Acts like it ran out of gas.  Starts back up ok.  Any ideas?

Could be the fuel pump starting to go. Any other ideas? Automatic or manual? Mileage?

Could also be your TPS or IAC, actually sounds more likely now that I think about it.

Could be a number of things, really. I'd start with a tune up, replace all the filters (including the fuel filter), plugs, wires. See how that does you. But really, without actually looking at the car, there are so many possibilities... but it really sounds to me like 1 of 3 things:

Clogged Idle Air Control (with 110k, a strong possibility)
Fuel Pump starting to go (common)
Possible DPFE failure (common, easy fix)
