so you still got some zetecs?? i plan on doing the zetec swap so i'll need an mtx75. do you have a catalog or somewhere where i can get the prices because i may be interested in a spi to zetec swap within the next year or two. thanks. oh crap, guess you may not have the trans. o well as long as you got the zetecs i'll be good. thanks alot.
There are 44 Zetec new engines priced at $950. dollars and 3 MTX-75 transaxles priced at $300.dollars. Prices do not include trucking costs from Detroit which is minimal.
These are from Ford Surplus so when they are gone...they are gone!! If you hesitate you will be disappointed.
so how fast are these engines going?? do you think you'll still have some for next summer. damn man, i'm wanting the zetec but only 44 left?? i dont know. i'll keep it in mind buddy. thanks for the prompt response.
also these engines do come with mounts correct?? only thing i need to change when i drop it into the focus is the oil pan?? im sure txfo knows more but just wanna be sure here. thanks again

Well, three of these Zetecs found a new home this week alone. In the past, I've had race engine builders buying them ten at a time. There is no way of knowing how long I'll still have them in stock.
From what I understand, these Zetecs will need a different style oil pan and the fuel rail from a Focus as they were intended to be used in a Ford Escape or Mazda Tribute SUV.
just want to mention, these are not drop ins. we had a hammerhead blow his motor and got an escape 2 liter. we had to change oil pan, intake, flywheel and sone other parts from blown focus motor.

you forgot windage tray.
the oil pan itself is identical to the focus version, Im sure its the same part.
also, I think you can use the flywheel it comes with, it just looks a little different but the pressure plate holes are the same, the timing marks are the same, and so is the crank bolt pattern .(obviously) the escape clutch is wrong though, which is a shame because it looks alot better than the focus one.
wrong about intake though, the manifold is the same as the focus one. same PN and everything. you also have to swap the fuel rail and busbar and reuse your idler pulley, tensioner pulley, AC bracket, alternator, and exhaust brackets.
I did this myself recently and it really isnt very hard to convert it to work in the focus.
Focus chef, I sent you a PM in FJ. IIRC the linkage mechanism is differnt and it would require some work. ask KogBoxKing or do a search, I know there was a thread about it.

i ended up calling the The Great Terry Haines about the particular code number. Waiting on a call from him tomorrow. More then likely I'm going to get him to build me an MTX with Quaife. I just need to buy a good flywheel and clutch along with getting my ecu reflashed.
