All you have to do is hook up the 3 wires to yours. Which are black to black, red to red and white to white and screw in and done.

my car came with the mirrors that have the little knob things on both sides. so to adjust the passenger side i have to lean over and push the knob on that side around...

so i need the driver's side interior mirror controle piece too. and wouldn't i have to run wires over to the passenger side mirror?

You need to see if the wiring is there for power mirrors first.

That means you have manual then. Because the powered only has one control know and it's on the driver's side. It moves both of them, by switching to each side.
