That's pretty close to your price range, it may be as close as you can get with a 215/45/17 tire, I checked out the 205/40/17's which are quite a bit smaller, you'd have to be careful about potholes and whatnot, but the 711's in that size are about 50 a piece which is in the price range.

$67 each.. Probably the cheapest you will find
http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires.jsp?tireMake=Kumho&tireModel=ECSTA+711&vehicleSearch=true&partnum=145HR7E711&fromCompare1=yes

http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires.jsp?tireMake=Sumitomo&tireModel=HTR+Z&vehicleSearch=true&partnum=145WR7HTRZ&fromCompare1=yes

I checked a few other sizes 225-45-17 nad 205-45-17 and both sizes were mode expensive. The first tire in a 225-45-17 is $73 each.

Check locally and see if the store price matches. Sometimes they will. And remember you are looking for 17" tires that are becoming more popular and more standard with cars today. The whole thing where they charge more because they know the majority will and has to pay it.

When I did some research last year for chelly's tires and mine I found Tire Rack to be cheapest and with some of the price match companies out there. And got the cheapest summer tire for mine and payed about $10 more each than Chelly's 17's.
