nah, the car didn't go through. after i got caught in the hail it went in the garage. took the suz sami out in it and got these. these were taken on my retreat after getting a wee bit close to a tornado that touched down. didn't get any pics of it though, not on the ground very long and too busy getting the hell out of there
Very cool dude. Very nice pics. This year has just been an absolutely HORRIBLE year for storm chasing. The storms here have just been flat out weird in nature. Im used to averaging about 150 lightning strikes on film each year. This year, so far, Im lucky if I have 20, and the season is about half over.
The one wall cloud I have been close to just sat there and teased me spinning up, spinning down, spinning up, spinning down but never touching the ground, ARRRRGGGG. Yesterday was supposed to be just a freakin' outstanding day for storms. I was expecting a tornado outbreak in fact that data was looking so good. Then, this one, single solitary supercell goes up and just decides to hog the day for itself. It get so powerful its inflow winds were being felt 30+ miles away. Its sucking all the energy everything else needs to fire up. So we have this freaky 12+ hour supercell (most supercells live a couple hours at best) that stays tornadic almost the whole time!
Where is this supercell? Some 70+ miles south of me on a work night. It had some SPECTACULAR lightning, but I have not one shot on camera. So I spend the night talking to people I know in the path of the storm that are in rual areas and may not have advance warning letting them know when to take cover.
Ohh well. Im outta Kings BBQ sauce, storm season sucks, its hot, geesh.

Bud, I havent forgotten believe it or not. I have your email on my desktop, but just about everytime I sit in front of my PC at home all I have time for is to check for customer orders and so forth. Honest to God, I havent forgotten and I will keep my word. Its just taken longer than I thought it would.
