Cool, haven't fished myself in awhile. Kinda miss it. Only thing I ever caught on my 1st try was a little catfish. And nothing else after that. Nice pics.
Ya, it was fun to finally hook up with a larger Striper. The ones I been gettin before that were all schoolies, although I did manage a 26 incher a few weeks back while night fishing, but that Striper was lean and didnt have much meat on it yet. Yesterday, I fought that fish for almost 10 minutes before landing it. It really whipped a giraffes ass with a paddle.
I only kept it cuz my older bro Donny Bolt was the only one that stayed to fish. He help to land it, and he likes to eat them, so I decided since it was the first keeper (over 28") of the year, I would keep it, take it home, and let my brother make some steaks. I really dont like to keep the fish, but it was special circumstances, so I let my bro talk me into it. My brother, his wife, his 2 kids, and my other nephew eat it. I probably wont keep another, unless its the Trophy 50"/50 Pounder that I can have stuffed and put up on my wall Ya never know though, if I hook up with something that 35" or 40", I may keep it, but I doubt it. I will try to get pics right after the catch, and then throw them back in. I dont see myself keeping another unless its a real prize catch.
Have to go throw out live eels off my bro's boat for a 50 pounder though.
