It's in need of quite a bit of work, but it's actually in better shape than it looks.

Cool truck.

I have a 72' Ford F250 that is my next/current project.

Good luck with it

I haven't decided for sure what motor I'm gonna put in it.  If I go with a small block it will be a Ford 302.  If I go with a big block it will be a Chevy 454.

As far as the paint, I plan to do a two tone maroon and silver, possibly with maroon flake in the silver and silver flake in the maroon.

Good stuff. Looks like a fun project.
Saw one with the bed boards replaced by aluminium strips.
What kind of shape is the underbody/frame in?

if you aren't going to keep the original motor, take a look at a diesel. Somehow, trucks should have turbo diesels in them.

There's also a kit to flush mount the tail lights in to the rear fenders.

All of it is in pretty good shape.  It's been sitting for many years, but all the rust you see is just surface rust...it's only rusted completly through in a couple of small spots and they can be fixed pretty easily with some sheet metal.

You make a good point about the diesel.  I never thought about that.  Good idea.

I don't know for sure what I'm going to do with the bed yet.  I'm either going to restore it to normal or just lay some carpet back there.

Oh, and I'm definatly going to put the rear turns into the fender.  That was the very first thing that I decided on.

Looks like a great project. Do you still have your Focus? What did you ever do, if anything, about the tranny?

I still have the Focus...for now.  I had the tranny replaced, but now I'm having another problem that I can't trace.  I need to take it to a shop for diagnostics, but I just haven't had the time recently.  As soon I get this problem fixed, I'm putting it back up for sale and want to get rid of it as quick as possible.  Once I decided to sale it, I just had one problem after another that has kept me from doing so, so hopefully I can get it fixed and get rid of it before something else goes wrong.

Replacing the trannt must have cost a young fortune. I hope this won't mean you'll be leaving us.

WHAT!?!?!?!? You'd put a Chebby motor in theya? Scrap the 454 idea, and use a Ford 427 ;) Or build a "BOSS" truck, and use a 429. Or how bout a 501 Lincoln??? lol

Please dont use a Chebby motor. Please?
