I am an avid street racer. Thank you for showing me the same video I have seen on several other sites who are against street racing.

I'm sorry people don't have the respect for the danger like they used to. Too many people taking too many risks means too many lives lost to "street racing".

Please refer to the following link to learn more about street racing safety:

Thank you.

when i say street racing, i'm not talking about the track.  I'm talking about street where my kids play and where people walk and go about their lives.  Racing belongs on the track.  Bottom line.  I've had people come to me when I had my Camaro and wanna race, and all they get told is, is that if they wanna ace meet me at the drag strip on the weekend.

When I say street racing, I mean organized street racing. Anything else is just stupid. I am an avid organized street racer. I have been part of the street racing scene since before I could drive (used to go with my dad and his friends and hang out).

Street racing doesn't belong on inhabited streets. It belongs on industrial park roads, late at night, with lookouts, radios, and organization- not at stoplights or in traffic or on the freeway or anywhere else where there are uninvolved people.

The only people who should be in any way affected by the act are the people involved. However, too many times people choose to "race" at the wrong time in the wrong place.

Street racing is NOT something to be taken lightly. There are too many risks involved to have a "anyone anywhere anytime" attitude. Unfortunately, certain recvent movies have made that attitude all too common.

The term "street racer" is FAR too broad of a term- it covers everything from the boy doing 100 on the freeway in the emergency lane to the kids weaving through traffic at double the speed limit to the "professionals" like myself, who take street racing seriously and have no respect for those willing to risk other's lives for a cheap thrill.

Let the flames fly. I am a street racer, I have been for the vast majority of my life. I was brought up a street racer, and taught to street race RIGHT and SAFE. I do my best to ensure the safety of myself and others when street racing, and do my best to keep innocent people out of harms way.

Say what you want to. Yes, I recognize the risks I am taking. I also recognize how to minimize the risks and do everything I can to do so.
