Accessory Drive Belt Replacement
Vehicles with 2.0L Zetec-E Engine
Removal
1. Raise and
support the vehicle. For additional information, refer Here.
2. Remove the
splash shield.
3. Note:
For vehicles with 1.4L and 1.6L engines and equipped with air
conditioning the tensioner rotates in a counterclockwise
direction.
Remove the accessory drive belt.
1 Rotate the tensioner
clockwise.
2 Remove the belt.
Installation
1. To install, reverse the removal
procedure.
Accessory Drive Belt Replacement
Vehicles with 2.0L SPI Engine
Removal
1. Raise and support the vehicle. For additional
information, refer Here.
2. Remove the accessory drive belt splash
shield.
3. Lower the vehicle.
4. Remove the accessory drive belt.
l. Using a 3/8 inch square
drive breaker bar in the hole provided, rotate the tensioner clockwise.
Installation
1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
