TOOLS NEEDED:
10mm socket
6” socket extension
small torx bit
(30?)
REMOVAL:
After
removing the oil pan ,(insert link) use the torx socket to remove the two screws
that hold the oil pickup to the pump. On some models there is a plastic pickup
that also has a mounting bracket securing it to the tray. If equiped, remove the
mounting bolt. (8mm)
Use the 10mm socket to
remove the bolts holding the windage tray to the block. The Bolts are on the
outside of the tray.
Carefully separate the
tray from the block. If it is stuck DO NOT pry it apart. There is a gasket that
is copper on the long ends but a rubber seal at the sides. Be carefull not to
damage this.
INSTALLATION:
Carefully place the
windage tray onto the block, making sure that the rubber parts of the gasket
seat fully into the seal carriers. Tighten bolts to spec.
Reinstall the torx bolts to the oil pickup and mounting bracket (if equipped). Tighten to spec (8ft/lbs)
