Intermittent Wiper Mod

                        Before                                                          After

I know most of ya'll have done this....however I just did it yesterday! I love it! This should take you about 5-10min max.

First you need a flat head screwdriver and a 10 mm ratcheting wrench (wrench optional). You also need this part # for ZX3,5 and wagon: YS4Z-17A553-DA. If you have sedan then you need YS4Z-17A553

1. Disconnect negative battery cable with 10mm wrench (I didn't do it but its recommended)

2. Pry off top half of steering column with flathead screwdriver, cover will not come off completely, but don't worry you pretty little head about that

3. There is a locking tab behind the original switch. You have to look, its not hard to figure out...Push that and pull up on the switch.

4. Unplug electrical connector you will see attached to switch you just pulled out.

5. Plug in new switch and slide down in to the original mounting place until you hear it snap in *hint* your new switch will go in exactly the same way you pulled your old one out.

Finally, snap steering column cover back down just by pushing it in to position and test for operation....if it works, jump for joy and go get your self a cookie......

Many Thanks to cositsworthit for this How-To
